About Cherrapunjee

Cherrapunjee is a sub-divisional town in the East Khasi Hills district in the Indian state of Meghalaya. It is the traditional capital of Nongkhlaw hima. Cherrapunjee has often been credited as being the wettest place on Earth, but for now a nearby place Mawsynram, currently holds that distinction. Cherrapunjee still holds the all-time record for the most rainfall in a calendar month and in a year as it received 26,461 millimeters (1,041.8 in; 86.814 ft.) of rain between 1st August 1860 and 31 July 1861.

About Shillong

Shillong is a hill station in the northeastern part of India and the capital of Meghalaya, which means “The Abode of Clouds” and is one of the smallest states in India. Shillong is situated at an average altitude of 4,908 feet (1,496 m) above sea level, with the highest point being Shillong Peak at 6,449 feet (1,966 m). It is said that the rolling hills around the town reminded the European settlers of Scotland. Hence, they would also refer to it as the “Scotland of the East”.

Day 1 – Arrival in Guwahati | Transfer to Shillong
Arrive at Guwahati and drive to Shillong. En route, stop at Nongpoh to taste fresh pineapples and visit the picturesque Umiam Lake. Overnight stay in Shillong.

Day 2 – Excursion to Cherrapunjee
Full-day excursion from Shillong to Cherrapunjee. Visit Shillong Peak, Mylliem Village, Nohkalikai Falls, Mawsmai Caves, and Nohsngithiang Falls before returning to Shillong. Overnight stay in Shillong.

Day 3 – Dawki & Mawlynnong Day Trip
Drive from Shillong to Dawki, a border town known for its crystal-clear river, and then visit Mawlynnong, famed as the “Cleanest Village of Asia.” Return to Shillong for overnight stay.

Day 4 – Shilong Local Sightseeing
Full day Shilong Local Sightseeing and overnight at Shilong

Day 5 – Shillong to Guwahati
Drive back to Guwahati and explore the city: Srimanta Shankardev Kalakshetra, Guwahati Zoo, State Museum, and local emporiums. Optionally, visit Balaji Temple or enjoy a sunset Brahmaputra River cruise. Overnight stay in Guwahati.

Day 6 – Departure
Transfer to Guwahati Airport for your onward journey, marking the end of the tour.

Cancellation Policy :

- Booking canceled is not refundable.
- Booking canceled between the date of booking & 15 Days before check-in – A credit note(email) worth 90% of the amount paid will be issued which can be used within two months from the cancellation date for future rebooking of the same property except on Public Holidays & Peak Season (Month of December).
- Bookings canceled between 15 days till the day of check-in or No Show: Cancellation Charge is 100% of the Package Cost.
