Itinerary for Meghalaya Tour

DAY 01: GUWAHATI AIRPORT – SHILLONG (130 KMS / 3 hrs drive)

Arrive at Guwahati airport or Rly station & drive to Shillong. Enroute visit Umium Lake. Check in Hotel. If time permits, visit Ward’s Lake. Overnight at Shillong.

 

DAY 02: SHILLONG – CHERRAPUNJEE – SHILLONG (60 KMs / 2 hrs-One way)

After breakfast we will drive to Cherrapunjee. Visit Dwan Syiem view point, Noh kalikai falls, Mawsmai caves, Seven Sister falls, Eco park etc. Later we will drive back to Shillong. On the way visit Shillong Peak & Elephant Falls. In the evening, you can go shopping at the Police Bazar. Overnight in Shillong.

 

DAY 03: SHILLONG – DAWKI – MAWLYNNONG –SHILLONG (85 KMs / 3 hrs-One way)

After breakfast, we will drive from Shillong to Mawlynnong Village. Mawlynnong/Mawlynnong Village located in the East Khasi Hills of Meghalaya, also referred as ‘God’s own garden’ has won the acclaim of being the cleanest village in Asia in 2003. The village known for its cleanliness is located around 90 kms from Shillong and is a community based ecotourism initiative. The community has made a collective effort to maintain the ambience of a clean village. The village offers picturesque natural beauty, a trek to the Single Decker living root bridge at a neighboring village Riwai. The village also offers the sight of a natural balancing rock, a strange natural phenomenon of a boulder balancing on another rock. Visit Dawki, the Bangladesh Border (Tamabil Border from Bangladesh side). Main attraction is the Umngot river with crystal clear water. You can enjoy a long boat ride there. Check in Hotel. Overnight at Shillong.

 

DAY 04: SHILLONG – LAITLUM CANYONS – JOWAI – SHILLONG (65 KMs / 2 ½ hrs-One way)

Early morning after breakfast visit Laitlum Canyons, a wonderful spot covered in mystical mist and fog. The view point is one of the most popular and sought after attractions for adventure and nature lovers. Later drive to Jowai. Visit Krang Suri Falls. Later drive back to Shillong. Overnight at Shillong.

 

DAY 05: SHILLONG – MAWPHLANG – MAWSYNRAM – SHILLONG (118 KMs / 3 ½hrs-One way)

Early morning after breakfast drive to Mawsynram. Mawsynram is a small village in the Khasi Hills of Meghalaya state in north-eastern India. Reportedly the wettest place on Earth, Mawsynram receives an average annual rainfall of 11,872 mm (about 39 feet). However, as there has been no meteorological department office in the area and for all practical and statistical purposes, Cherrapunjee has been recorded as the wettest place in the world. Mawsynram is a place where nature-loving people frequently visit wherein they take pleasure in the steep, sliding slopes, the fresh air, the rolling green mountains and the deafening but beautiful waterfalls – Visit Mawphlang Sacred Forest. Later drive to Shillong. Overnight at Shillong.

 

DAY 06: SHILLONG – GUWAHATI (110 Kms/ 3 hrs)

Early morning after breakfast visit Ward’s Lake, Don Bosco Museum. Later drive to Guwahati. Check-in Hotel. Evening enjoys a sunset River cruise over the river Brahmaputra (Cruise is subject to weather conditions & availability, PAYMENT WILL BE DIRECTED). Overnight at Guwahati.

 

DAY 07: GUWAHATI AIRPORT / RLY STATION DEPARTURE

Early morning after breakfast, visit Kamakhya Temple/  Pobitora National Park . Afternoon transfer to Guwahati airport.

Reservation & Confirmation Policy :

    • At least 50% advance of the total amount for the confirmation and balance 50% 15 days before check-in.
    • Bookings made less than 15 days before the check-in date should be accompanied by full payment only.
    • Full Payment mandatory before check-in. (no payments are entertained at the property unless any extra service or deposit )
    • Scanned Copy of Govt. Approved ID Card of Booking person mandatory while booking. (Pan Cards are not accepted).

Cancellation Policy :

    • Booking canceled is not refundable.
    • Booking canceled between the date of booking & 15 Days before check-in – A credit note(email) worth 90% of the amount paid will be issued which can be used within two months from the cancellation date for future rebooking of the same property except on Public Holidays & Peak Season (Month of December).
    • Bookings canceled between 15 days till the day of check-in or No Show: Cancellation Charge is 100% of the Package Cost.

Special Policy under COVID-19 (Only In case there is Lockdown or Travel Ban issued by State or Central Gov)

A credit note worth 100% of the booking amount will be issued, which can be used within two months for future booking on weekends only from the date lockdown or travel Ban is lifted by State or Central Govt.

 

Note :

  • Rebooking is not applicable in December,
  • No Refunds.
  • Total Booking amount to remain the same.
  • Extra Person & Extra Meals will be at actuals to be paid during rebooking.
