Detailed Day-wise Itinerary
Day 01: Srinagar Arrival and Mughal Splendour
Upon your morning arrival at Srinagar Airport, our representative will warmly greet you and assist with your transfer to your pre-booked hotel. After check-in and refreshment, proceed for a half-day sightseeing tour of Srinagar’s famous Mughal Gardens. Visit Nishat Garden, the Garden of Pleasure, built in the 17th century by Asif Khan. Continue to Shalimar Garden, the Garden of Love, built by Emperor Jahangir for Noor Jehan, followed by Chashme Shahi, known for its natural spring.
Later, visit the sacred Shankaracharya Temple, located atop a hill, offering panoramic views of Srinagar city and Dal Lake. Return to the hotel for dinner and an overnight stay in Srinagar.
Day 02: Sonmarg – The Meadow of Gold Excursion
After breakfast, proceed for a full-day excursion to Sonmarg, located at an altitude of 2740 meters and known as the Meadow of Gold and the Gateway to Ladakh. Situated approximately 84 kilometres from Srinagar, Sonmarg is surrounded by snow-capped peaks, alpine meadows, and dense pine forests.
Visit Thajiwas Glacier, around 3 kilometres from Sonmarg, which can be accessed by pony or local taxi at an additional cost payable directly. Sonmarg is also a base for several trekking routes and serves as the entry point for the Amarnath Yatra via Baltal Valley. After sightseeing, return to Srinagar for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 03: Gulmarg – The Meadow of Flowers Adventure
After breakfast, drive to Gulmarg, situated at an altitude of 2652 meters and famously known as the Meadow of Flowers. Gulmarg is one of India’s premier hill resorts and a world-renowned skiing destination during winter.
Enjoy the famous Gulmarg Gondola ride, one of the highest cable cars in the world, offering spectacular views of snow-covered peaks and lush valleys. In winter, enjoy snow activities and skiing, while summer offers pleasant weather, green meadows, and golfing opportunities. Return to Srinagar by evening for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 04: Srinagar to Pahalgam – The Valley of Shepherds
After early breakfast, check out from your Srinagar hotel and drive to Pahalgam, also known as the Valley of Shepherds, located at an altitude of 2440 meters. The journey takes approximately 3 to 4 hours and passes through scenic landscapes.
On arrival, check in to your hotel. In the afternoon, visit Aru Valley, Chandanwari, and Betaab Valley by pony or local union taxi at an additional cost. These areas are known for lush meadows, scenic views, and Bollywood film locations. Dinner and overnight stay in Pahalgam.
Day 05: Pahalgam to Srinagar – Houseboat and Shikara Experience
After breakfast, check out from Pahalgam and drive back to Srinagar. On arrival, check in to a traditional houseboat on Dal Lake or Nigeen Lake.
In the afternoon, enjoy a complimentary one-hour Shikara ride on Dal Lake, passing floating gardens, local markets, and traditional houseboats. The evening is free for shopping in Srinagar’s local markets, famous for Kashmiri handicrafts, carpets, pashminas, and dry fruits. Dinner and overnight stay on the houseboat.
Day 06: Departure from Srinagar
After breakfast, check out from the houseboat and transfer to Srinagar Airport for your onward journey, carrying unforgettable memories of your Kashmir experience with Nomadic Tribes. Tour concludes.
