About Pench Wildlife Safari

Pench Tiger Reserve is fondly recalled as the true Kipling country- it is named after the Pench River which flows across the entire park. Pench’s claim to be a wild tiger country comes from the fact that it has the highest density of herbivore population like the chital, sambhar, etc., and the unique teak forest. The Pench Tiger Reserve and its neighborhood is the original setting of Rudyard Kipling’s most famous work, The Jungle Book.

Pench shot to celebrity status when the BBC wildlife team filmed the brilliant documentary “Tiger- Spy in the Jungle” detailing the life of tigers in Pench. An area of 450 sq. km. Seoni and Chhindwara districts of Madhya Pradesh were protected as Pench Sanctuary in 1977. 292 sq. km. was upgraded as Pench National Park in 1983. In 1992, a total area of 757sq.km. Was declared as Pench Tiger Reserve, India’s 19th tiger reserve. Gonds, the local tribe, revere Mansingh Deo, a legendary figure believed to be a magician with supernatural healing powers. He would ride into the local bazaar on his tiger. There are two temples dedicated to him, the Chhota Mansingh and Bada Mansingh temples.

ITINERARY –

DAY 1 – Departure for Nagpur via a flight. Afternoon safari

Take an early morning flight to Nagpur. Transfer to Pench (Drive time – 2hrs ). Relax at the resort. After lunch, we leave for an afternoon safari. Dinner and overnight stay at the resort.

DAY 2 – Jungle Safari

Leave early in the morning for a jungle safari. Return to the resort for breakfast. Some free time for relaxation. After lunch, jungle safari. Overnight stay at the resort.

DAY 3 – Morning safari and departure back home

Morning Jungle Safari  Depart for Nagpur en route Visit Pottery Village. Take the evening flight back to Mumbai.

Resort with wooden huts and rustic appeal that has been designed to create an experience of living in nature, with nature! Wilderness CAMP is conveniently located in the thick of the buffer of the Pench National Park. Nestled cozily in the wilderness amidst the flora and fauna of Pench.

• Cost for service provided on a personal request.
• Cost for personal expenses such as laundry, bottled water, soft drinks, incidentals, porter charges, tips etc.
• Cost for any other service not mentioned under the “Cost Includes” head.
• Difference in cost arising due to change in Taxes by the Government which will have to be collected directly ON ARRIVAL.
• Differences in cost arising due to mishaps, political unrest, and natural calamities. In such cases, extra will have to be paid on the spot by the guest directly.

Reservation & Confirmation Policy:

• At least 50% advance of the total amount for the confirmation and balance 50% 15 days before check-in.
• Bookings made less than 15 days before the check-in date should be accompanied by full payment only.
• Full Payment mandatory before check-in. (no payments are entertained at the property unless any extra service or deposit)
• Scanned Copy of Govt. Approved ID Card of Booking person mandatory while booking. (Pan Cards are not accepted).

Cancellation Policy:

• Booking cancelled is not refundable.
• Booking cancelled between the date of booking & 15 Days before check-in – A credit note(email) worth 90% of the amount paid will be issued which can be used within two months from the cancellation date for future rebooking of the same property except on Public Holidays & Peak Season (Month of December).
• Bookings cancelled between 15 days till the day of check-in or No Show: Cancellation Charge is 100% of the Package Cost.

Special Policy under COVID-19 (Only In case there is Lockdown or Travel Ban issued by State or Central Gov)
A credit note worth 100% of the booking amount will be issued, which can be used within two months for future booking on weekends only from the date lockdown or travel Ban is lifted by State or Central Govt.

Note :

• Rebooking is not applicable in December
• No Refunds
• Total Booking amount to remain the same.
• Extra Person & Extra Meals will be at actuals to be paid during rebooking.
