Introduction
The Shilonda Trail, located within the Sanjay Gandhi National Park in Mumbai, is a hidden gem that truly comes alive during the monsoon season. As the rains transform the landscape, the trail reveals its true beauty. It meanders through dense forests, alongside gurgling streams. The trail also boasts numerous natural streams and small ponds, inviting nature lovers to take a dip and enjoy the cool, crystal-clear waters.
- Grade: Easy (TO and FRO 2 km)
- Reporting time: 8:15 AM
- Age: For Adults and kids 3+
- Charges: INR 1300/- per person.
- Inclusive: Entry charges to the park, Entry charges to trail, Naturalist charges, Volunteer charges, Internal transport from SGNP gate to back)
- Note:
1.) 50% advance payment is compulsory.
2.) Minimum 8 participants.

Tentative Itinerary-
- 8:15 am: Meet-up at SGNP main gate (Borivali).
- 8:30 am: Head toward Shilonda gate in local transportation
- 8:45 am: Begin with trail. Enjoy the surrounding flora and fauna and learn about it in the
most exciting way. - 9:45 am: Take a dip and enjoy the cool, crystal-clear waters.
- 10:15 am: End of trail.
- 10:30 am: Head back to the Main gate
Instructions:-
- Wear proper walking shoes.
- Carry an ample amount of water for yourself.
- Carrying snacks won’t be a bad idea (but don’t litter in the forest).
- Refrain from carrying costly items (except cameras) and jewellery for the trail.
- Wear full and camouflage clothes. Mosquitoes are a given, so carry insect repellent.
